southwest hills residence

portland, oregon  design challenges included the remodel and a minimal addition to the southwest hills residence, which was built in the 1900s. in keeping with the historical context of the house, the new structure extended the original charm, while creating a space for comfortable and casual entertaining. the layout provides areas for movement with plenty of room for lingering throughout the property. special attention was paid to the owner’s request for elegant, functional and private spaces.
